Brindisi - Prosit

Un fiume di nettare e ambrosia. Con queste parole, nel IX canto dell'Odissea, Polifemo manifesta il proprio apprezzamento nei confronti del vino che l'astuto Ulisse gli ha offerto con l'intenzione di propiziarselo.

Quasi nessuno oggi condividerebbe l'opinione del ciclope data la deprecabile abitudine degli antichi di allungare il vino con acqua, e di arricchirlo con miele e resina, come apprendiamo da Apicio nel suo "De re coquinaria" una sorta di Cucchiaio d'Argento nell'antica Roma!

I gusti sono alquanto cambiati dai tempi di Omero e di Apicio in ambito enologico! Ma c'è qualche alternativa al classico spumante o champagne?

Vogliamo brindare con un Panettone e un cocktail Alexander? 
L'Alexander è un cocktail a base di cognac, con crema di cacao e crema di latte.

3 cl cognac
3 cl crema di cacao scura
3 cl panna liquida

Agitare bene in uno shaker con ghiaccio, versare e servire in una coppetta da cocktail. Provate e non ve ne pentirete. Prosit...


Prosit è un'esclamazione latina utilizzata all'atto del brindisi, il gesto che si fa alzando e toccando i bicchieri prima di bere. Brindare significa salutare o ricordare qualcosa o qualcuno, o augurare una buona sorte per un'impresa, un'azione.


Quindi alziamo il bicchiere e facciamo un brindisi per l'ultimo hurrah del 2013 ... evviva!
So raise our glass and let's toast to one last hurrah for 2013... cheers!
