WHAT ARE WE AFRAID OF?

1° non si ha quasi più paura di riconoscere i propri fallimenti, perché essi non possono cancellare la dignità e il valore di sé;

2° non si ha quasi più paura di riconoscere eventuali proprie mancanze e difetti;

3° non si ha quasi più paura della conoscenza realistica dei propri limiti e delle proprie lacune;

    At least there are some advantages to getting old ….. we do seem to lose some of our fears as we age, don't we ? What a great post on What We Are Afraid Of. XXXX

  4. Such lovely examples -- and so true that we can more easily look inward and accept our limitations and mistakes. (But is the opposite true? Are we also learning to own our strengths continue to launch ourselves into new ventures?)

    I work on all of this, like so many of us...

  7. You are so right, Eleonora. With age & experience we learn there is nothing to be afraid of, but an entire new group of responsibilities. My grandmother taught this to me long long ago, but it is only now that I understand. A beautiful post for our BY INVITATION ONLY. So happy you are a part of this very very intelligent and witty bunch. Sending love......

  8. Terrifc take on our topic! To turn our fears into growth experiences is the very best. I'm still working on a few of my own, always a work in progress!

  9. Hi Eleanor, Such great examples, but I agree with you, the best one is responsibilities!
    If I wasn't responsible for all the people and things in my life, I think I would be a mess. These responsibilities keep me going! Even though sometimes they can be very scary! Much love, xxx Coty
